Troubleshooting

Notifications are not arriving

Group invites and SOS alerts come through as push notifications. If they are not landing, work through these three steps in order.

Applies to: Android and iPhone

  1. 1

Allow notifications. Open your phone Settings, find RideClan, tap Notifications, and turn them on. Make sure alerts are allowed to show as banners and make a sound so you catch invites while riding.

  2. 2

Turn off battery optimization. In Settings, find RideClan, open Battery, and set it to Unrestricted. An aggressive battery manager can hold back or delay push notifications.

  3. 3

Reinstall to refresh the push token. If notifications still do not arrive, remove RideClan, install it again from Google Play or the App Store, and sign in. This issues a fresh push token, which fixes most delivery problems.

If it does not work

If invites and alerts still do not arrive after reinstalling, email us with your device and app version. On some Android phones the same OEM battery settings that stop GPS also stop push, so the per-brand steps on the GPS and battery page are worth applying too.

Still stuck? Email [email protected] with your device, app version, and the ride time, and we will help.
