Delete your account

Email [email protected] from the email address you use to sign in to RideClan, with the subject "Delete my account". Sending it from your account email lets us verify the request is yours. It helps if you mention the phone you rode with, so we can locate the account faster.

We action verified requests and permanently delete the account within 30 days.

Deleting your account permanently removes the following from our systems:

• Your profile: name, display name, home city, and profile photo
• Your bikes (garage) and their photos
• Your rides, ride history and statistics, and recorded GPS location samples
• Ride photos you uploaded
• Your group and club memberships, and any SOS events tied to you
• Saved places, device (push notification) tokens, and subscription records
• Your login / authentication record

Groups or clubs you created are not deleted while other members remain: ownership is transferred to another member so their rides and data are preserved. A group or club with no other members is removed.

We may keep limited data where the law requires it (for example payment and tax records for the statutory period) and anonymised aggregate statistics that cannot identify you. Data held by third party processors such as Google Firebase (diagnostics and crash logs, typically around 90 days) and the payment provider is removed under their own retention schedules. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on the normal backup rotation.

Account deletion cannot be undone. After deletion you would need to create a new account to use RideClan again, and your past rides and history cannot be recovered.
