Map is blank or will not load

If the map shows up blank, grey, or stays stuck loading, it is almost always the connection. These three steps fix it in order.

    Check your connection. Make sure you have mobile data or Wi-Fi. The map needs a signal to download map tiles the first time. Turn airplane mode off and on to reset the data connection.

    Sign out and back in. Open Settings, tap Sign out, then sign in again with the same method. This refreshes your session and reloads the map.

    Reinstall the app. If the map is still blank, remove RideClan, install it again from Google Play or the App Store, and sign in. This clears any bad local data.

If it does not work

If the map is still blank after reinstalling, email us with your device, app version, and roughly when it happened. Tip: a plain map that never draws is different from a map that loads but shows no riders, which is covered on the live-map page below.
